We start with the ground — soil, light, drainage, the way you walk to the shed — and draw a garden that will still make sense in its tenth winter.
How it runs
Five visits
to a garden
Most designs take six to ten weeks from survey to final drawings. Build dates follow the planting season, not the other way round.
Walk & talk
Two hours on site with you, a soil probe and a lot of questions.
Survey
Measured plan, levels, sun path and drainage notes.
Concept
Two layout options with mood boards and a rough budget.
Planting plan
Every plant named, placed and scheduled by month.
Build
Our crew, our nursery stock, your garden finished.
Design fees

Our planting rule
Something good
in every month
Every Fieldform planting plan is checked against the calendar before it leaves the studio. If a month has nothing in flower, fruit, bark or seedhead, we redraw it. It is why our clients stop saying “it looks bare in February.”
