New patients

Your first visit, no surprises.

A first appointment is an hour long and starts with talking. Here is what happens, what to bring, and how payment works.

Your first visit.

Sixty minutes, and we use all of them.

  1. Arrive, have tea. Forms already done. From minute 0.
  2. Talk first. Teeth, worries, budget. From minute 10.
  3. A gentle exam. X-rays only if needed. From minute 25.
  4. A clean, if you like. Or more talking. From minute 40.
  5. A plan, with prices. Emailed the same day. From minute 55.

Request your first visit.

Tell us the treatment and the days that suit you. The practice will contact you to confirm a time. Nothing is booked until you hear from us.

What to bring.

  • Photo ID
  • Your insurance card, if you have one
  • A list of medications you take, with doses
  • Any recent dental X-rays, if you have them
  • Questions, worries or a budget you would like us to know about

Forms.

Ten minutes at home means your first hour is spent talking, not writing. The form asks for your details, your insurer, and anything we should know about your health.

Prefer to do it in person? Arrive fifteen minutes early and we will give you the same questions on paper.

Insurance and payment.

We bill these insurers directly

  • Delta Dental PPO
  • Cigna Dental
  • MetLife
  • Aetna
  • Guardian
  • United Concordia

Another insurer? We give you an itemised receipt to claim back and check your cover before you book. We are not in HMO networks.

No insurance?

The Haldane Plan is $34 a month: two check-ups, two cleans, X-rays, and 15% off everything else.

Paying

You get a written estimate first. We take card, HSA and FSA payments, and anything over $600 spreads across six months with no interest.

Questions, answered.

Do I need to arrive early for my first visit?

Arrive about five minutes early. If you have filled in the new patient forms online, there is nothing else to do and we start on time.

How long is a first appointment?

A first visit is booked for sixty minutes. We use the first fifteen to talk about your teeth, your worries and your budget before any exam.

Which insurers do you bill directly?

We bill Delta Dental PPO, Cigna Dental, MetLife, Aetna, Guardian and United Concordia directly. For any other insurer we give you an itemised receipt to claim back.

What if I do not have insurance?

The Haldane Plan covers routine care for $34 a month: two check-ups, two cleans, X-rays, and 15% off everything else.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. Anything over $600 can be spread across six months with no interest. We also accept card, HSA and FSA payments.

I am nervous about the dentist. Can you help?

Yes. Tick the nervous box on the forms or tell us when you book and we will plan extra time. You can raise a hand at any point and we will stop.

Is the practice step-free?

Yes. The building is on the ground floor and step-free, and there is a lift to the hygienist room upstairs.

Ready for your first hour?

Send a request with the days and time of day that suit you. The practice will contact you to confirm a time, or call and we will find one with you.
