Utah Canyon

Slickrock & Silence

Duration
3–5 Days
Distance
110–160 km
Elevation
5,500 m cumulative gain
Group Size
6–14 riders

The Utah Canyon chapter puts you on the slickrock and sandstone mesas that define the Colorado Plateau. Routes thread through canyon systems rarely visited outside of guided groups — red desert silence, enormous sky, and the peculiar challenge of riding terrain that looks impassable until the moment it isn't. This is the shortest Rideup chapter in days but not in intensity.

What to Expect

  • Slickrock sandstone riding on the Moab plateau
  • Canyon rim trails above 1,800 m with unobstructed desert views
  • Technical sandstone slab descents unique to the Colorado Plateau
  • Remote camp in Canyonlands backcountry
  • Shorter itinerary — accessible for first Rideup expeditions
