Tutoring that shows its work.
Margin Notes Tutoring has helped Providence families since 2016. We pair students in grades 4–12 with experienced, background-checked tutors who work at your kitchen table, online, or in our quiet study space at 218 Wickenden Street.
We named ourselves after the notes teachers write in the margin.

How we work
One student, one tutor
Every session is one-on-one with a tutor who knows your child's name, grade and goals. Small groups are only for classmates studying the same material.
A note after every session
You get a short written note on what was covered, what went well and what comes next. No guessing how it's going.
Vetted, experienced tutors
Every tutor holds a degree in the subject they teach, has at least four years of experience and passes a background check before their first session.
Where do sessions happen?
Wherever works for your family. We come to your home anywhere within 15 miles of Providence, meet online, or you can use our study space: a quiet, private room in a coworking building at 218 Wickenden Street, free for your sessions.
In-home travel is at no extra charge.
